Program Description
The Master of Science in Emergency and Disaster Management prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking ability needed to manage the increasingly complex emergencies and disasters in the 21st century and beyond.
The program offers a dual degree in Emergency & Disaster Management (MS) and Public Health (MPH) which can be found in the catalog at Dual MS/MPH.

Students enrolled in the program may use their electives to complete a concentration in Business Continuity, Healthcare Emergency Management, or Homeland Security. To earn a concentration, students must complete all core curriculum courses and the 12 credits of electives specific to the desired concentration as delineated below:
Business Continuity Concentration: complete 4 courses from EDM 617, EDM 624, EDM 625, EDM 626, approved MBA or MSOL elective
Healthcare Emergency Management Concentration: complete 4 courses from EDM 613, EDM 617, EDM 648, EDM 649, EDM 653
Homeland Security Concentration: EDM 612, EDM 617, EDM 623, EDM 627
