About Us
The Jefferson College of Pharmacy (JCP) is committed to educating the next generation of individuals who will advance the science and practice of pharmacy. The college has built an excellent education program providing students the opportunity to learn together and develop Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attitudes, and their application to practice. The application of information learned is the key to being able to help individuals and society as practicing pharmacists, researchers, and scholars. Jefferson Doctor of Pharmacy students have access to multiple practice environments that students can rotate through to learn about different career options and establish connections with practitioners with the Jefferson Enterprise.
Doctor of Pharmacy students at JCP have two other distinct advantages. One is the ability to learn alongside students in other healthcare disciplines through Thomas Jefferson University's dedicated Center for Interprofessional Practice & Education (JCIPE). JCP partners with other colleges to offer combined programs in Applied Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Business Administration, and Public Health.
The Graduate Certificate in Population Health Pharmacy is available to PharmD students pursuing their degree as a certificate option and to individuals with a PharmD degree to advance their careers.
In addition, the college has added a master's program. The MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSPS) program is for individuals with a bachelor’s degree who are interested in gaining insight and skills in pharmacy laboratory settings. Individuals in this position have the opportunity to complete internships within the pharmaceutical industry and can pursue a position managing a scientific laboratory or pursue a PhD program.
