Business Law (BLAW)

This course provides an overview of the legal and regulatory environment of business in the U.S. Topics include forms of business organization, contracts, torts and product liability, real property, intellectual property, and employment law.

Lecture, class discussion and case problems emphasizing legal principles on the following topics: the legal environment, government regulation of business, contracts, personal property, environmental liability as it relates to business transactions, bankruptcy, employment and human resources, and current legal issues.
