Program Description
This Coaching in Context certificate provides healthcare and human service professionals with the knowledge and skills to use a coaching mindset and techniques within their professional roles, whether clinical, education, or leadership. This interdisciplinary certificate enrolls those with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Coaching provides clients, students, or employees a means to identify and solve relevant issues through person-directed, strength-based, and goal-focused conversations.
- Students will explore coaching evidence, theoretical foundations, and methods to develop skills to implement evidence-based coaching within their work roles, coach with fidelity, and evolve to provide group coaching.
The Coaching in Context certificate is built on evidence from positive psychology and competencies of the International Coaching Federation. This coaching approach promotes self-efficacy and problem-solving to support clients' autonomy.
