This course provides a review of the fundamentals of algebra: a study of function theory, specifically linear and quadratic functions; matrix operations; and linear programming. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving techniques with special attention given to business and other applications.

MATX 154:  Precalculus  
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts of precalculus. Topics include functions, graphs, polynomial and rational expressions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometry, systems of equations, matrices, and analytic geometry. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and real-world applications.
