About Jefferson College of Nursing

Jefferson College of Nursing prepares nurses to lead, innovate, and thrive in the future of healthcare. We offer a fully accredited, integrated continuum of nursing education, from baccalaureate through doctoral study, designed to support lifelong learning, career mobility, and leadership across clinical, academic, and systems-level roles.

Academically anchored within Thomas Jefferson University and clinically partnered with Jefferson Health, a 34-hospital, multi-state, comprehensive health system, Jefferson College of Nursing is embedded within a living healthcare ecosystem. Through education grounded in partnership with clinicians, patients, and communities, students develop the clinical judgment, systems awareness, and technological fluency needed to co-create equitable, high-quality care across diverse settings.

Innovation at the Core of Learning

Innovation is foundational to how we educate. Jefferson College of Nursing integrates artificial intelligence, advanced simulation, digital health technologies, and learning health system principles throughout the curriculum. Students engage with high-fidelity and immersive simulation, data-informed clinical decision-making, and emerging care technologies that mirror contemporary practice environments. By learning within a system that continuously generates and applies evidence, students develop the agility, systems thinking, and technological fluency required to lead in complex healthcare settings.

Education-to-Career Alignment

Through its integrated academic–practice partnership, Jefferson College of Nursing provides students with early access to workforce opportunities within Jefferson Health while preparing them for practice across a wide range of healthcare settings. Students benefit from early and sustained clinical immersion, mentorship by practicing nurse leaders, and clear pathways from education to employment and advancement. This alignment supports seamless transitions from student to professional nurse and enables continued growth into advanced practice, leadership, education, and research roles, strengthening both individual careers and the nursing workforce at scale.

Our faculty are accomplished clinicians, scholars, and educators, many of whom maintain active roles across Jefferson Health and partner organizations. Students benefit from a mentorship-rich learning environment shaped by engaged faculty, collaborative learning experiences, and academic support structures that promote professional growth and success.

Graduates of Jefferson College of Nursing enter the workforce as confident, practice-ready professionals with strong clinical judgment, systems awareness, and the ability to lead change.

They are prepared not only to deliver high-quality, equitable care today, but to shape the future of nursing and healthcare.
